Our customer is a transnational semiconductor manufacturer.
Our customer's product - an ARM7 based SoC (with Ethernet interface on LAN and ATM-over-ADSL interfaces on WAN) - is aimed at manufacturers of residential gateways (installed at consumer premises) and voice gateways (installed at service provider-end). The customer turned to Tata Elxsi to develop SoC gateway functionalities such as ATM SAR, ATM driver, communication protocols and inter-working.
Based on in-depth knowledge of the system requirements of ARM7 based SoC gateways, Tata Elxsi provided a solution covering all four releases of the customer's product:

Developed AAL5 SAR and ATM core driver for the ADSL (WAN) interface |

Provided IFNET driver required for integrating TCP/IP stack and PPP components (including PPPoATM) over VxWorks |

Studied the software architecture; performed memory optimization for improved stack performance over VxWorks for the target hardware |

Developed test planning and test suite for VoAAL2 implementation

Besides, Tata Elxsi engineers also performed a complete Quality Assurance (QA) cycle including test planning, test case development, test scripting and testing for all four stages of the project.
