Hardware Specialist

Skill sets:
Solid experience with rechargeable battery chemistries like lead-acid and lithium-ion, should be able to develop and qualify battery pack and charging section by working with senior engineers
- Experience with AC-DC open frame power supply modules selection and qualification for medical devices
- Experience with microcontroller-based boards
- Expertise in selection and qualification of catalog items like electro-mechanically operated valves, encoders, and ac-inlets
- Ability to design or modify electrical/electronic engineering assemblies, layouts/schematics, BOM generation/scrubbing, and detailed drawings/specifications under general supervision
- Expertise in cable assembly designs is a must. Should be able to work with the mechanical team, identify connectors, terminals, housings, and cables and decide on manufacturing methods
- Experience with derating analysis, FMEA, and reliability engineering for electronic hardware
- Experience with EMI/EMC testing
- Experience with high-speed interfaces like USB, ethernet
- Experience with ADC, audio/video controller, and dc-dc converter based circuit boards
- Ability to perform basic engineering analysis and troubleshoot a variety of moderately complex electrical problems
- Experience with lab tools like DSO/MSO, bus analyzers, function generators, and Safety testers for hardware development
- Ability to work efficiently as a team member and deliver results
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronics Engineering
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in developing electronic hardware for regulated industries like medical, automotive, and aerospace
- Experience in working with mechanical, software, and other cross-functional teams like Sourcing and Supplier Quality
- Readiness for domestic travel for short term to co-ordinate with manufacturing centers
