We are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of SmartTV Architect

Role and Responsibilities:

As Smart TV Architect:

• Define the technical architecture and design of our SmartTV applications, including the selection of appropriate technologies, frameworks, and APIs  
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, product management, and quality assurance, to ensure that technical requirements are understood and incorporated into the application architecture  
• Conduct code reviews and provide technical guidance to the development team to ensure that code is efficient, scalable, and maintainable  
• Ensure that the SmartTV applications meet technical requirements, including performance, security, and compliance with industry best practices and standards  
• Collaborate with the product management team to ensure that the SmartTV applications align with the company's business objectives 
• Keep up to date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and APIs, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization  
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical specifications 
• Manage relationships with external partners and vendors involved in SmartTV application development  
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring that team members are trained and capable of delivering high-quality code

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

Must-Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field  
• At least 8 years of experience in SmartTV application development, with at least 3 years in an architect role  
• Strong understanding of SmartTV platform development, including architecture, APIs, and libraries  
• Experience with software design patterns, such as MVVM and Clean Architecture  
• Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions  
• Experience leading and mentoring development teams  
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform  
• Understanding of software design principles and UX best practices  
• Proven ability to design and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable SmartTV applications  
• Good understanding of Focus management on TV (building custom libraries for focus or any third-party libraries)  
• Experience or Knowledge in generating and developing builds for different flavours of smart TVs like LG, Tizen, Hisense, Netrange, Zeasn, Samsung, Vidaa, Whale OS 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience of working in Media and Communication/broadcast business domain
