Product Manager

Tata Elxsi is among the world’s leading providers of design and technology services across industries, including Automotive, Broadcast, Communications, and Healthcare. Tata Elxsi is helping customers reimagine their products and services through design thinking and the application of digital technologies such as IoT (Internet of Things), Cloud, Mobility, Virtual Reality, and Artificial Intelligence.

We are seeking an experienced candidate for the position of Product Manager with the skills below:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own the digital product business, including business case, P&L responsibility, revenue management, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Monitor product success KPIs for a portfolio of products.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy aligning with company vision and goals.
  • Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback for innovation and growth opportunities.
  • Create and maintain a product roadmap with prioritized features and enhancements.
  • Communicate the roadmap to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Prioritize features and define product requirements with engineering and design teams.
  • Make data-driven decisions and trade-offs to allocate resources effectively and meet product milestones.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to drive product development from ideation to launch.
  • Champion user experience and advocate for customer needs throughout development.
  • Lead product launches and go-to-market strategies, including product messaging, positioning, and sales enablement.
  • Define KPIs and metrics to track product success post-launch.
  • Monitor product performance, analyze user feedback, and iterate on features for continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10-15 years in product management, with at least 3 years managing P&L
  • Proven track record managing full product lifecycle from concept to launch in relevant industries (e.g., SaaS, automotive)
  • Experience with cross-functional teams (engineering, design, marketing, sales)
  • Demonstrated experience in managing product P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ability to align product performance with business objectives to drive revenue growth and profitability
  • Deep understanding of industry/domain (e.g., automotive, software development, SaaS)
  • Familiarity with emerging trends and technologies in the industry
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage trade-offs, and evaluate new ideas
  • Proficiency with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics for decision-making.
  • Experience in market research and competitive analysis
  • Excellent leadership skills with mentoring experience
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proven ability to influence and collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders
  • Strong focus on understanding customer needs and translating them into product features
  • Experience in analyzing customer feedback to drive product decisions.
  • Ability to develop and execute product vision and strategy aligned with business goals
  • Experience prioritizing features and managing product roadmaps based on business goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field
  • MBA or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.
